(1) Ordinary cotton stockings. Wash and change frequently, soak in clean water for about 2 hours after changing, then rub with soap and hot water to wash, so that dirt can easily fall off.
(2) Pure silk stockings. When washing synthetic stockings, nylon socks, etc., they should be gently rubbed in soapy water or synthetic detergent below 40 ℃, and avoid rubbing vigorously. Socks should be dried in the shade after washing, and should not be exposed to sunlight or baked over fire.
(3) Wool socks. First, cut neutral soap with low alkali content into soap slices, dissolve them in hot water, wait for the water to cool down, then put the socks in, soak them for a while, and gently rub them with your hands. For socks with a lot of dirt on the toe and heel, you can rub them with soap until they are clean. After rubbing the socks, rinse them thoroughly with clean water, pinch them dry, spread them flat on the table and smooth them with your hands. Let them dry in a well ventilated place or cover them with a white cloth and let them dry in the sun.
