Sock Selection Criteria

The tightness of the sock mouth and tube should be appropriate, the bottom of the sock should be loose, the heel of the sock should be large, the surface of the sock should be smooth, the cuffs should be flat and not skewed, the needle pattern organization should be clear, and there should be no exposed needles in the pattern, sock head, and heel.

2. Try to match the color inside the shoes as much as possible. When purchasing children’s socks, choose light colored ones first. The brighter the color, the more chemical ingredients will be added inside.

3. Prioritize socks made primarily of cotton fibers with an appropriate amount of elastic fibers added.

4. Considering its purpose and wearing objects, soft and wear-resistant clothing should be the main focus during exercise; People with sweaty feet should choose breathable and moisture absorbing cotton socks, while those with dry and cracked feet should choose polyester and nylon socks with poor moisture absorption; Children’s socks should try to choose socks with simple tissue structure, light color, and smooth surface, and avoid socks with dotted lines exposed on the outside.

5. When washing socks, do not rub them vigorously to prevent the socks from slipping or breaking due to strong friction; The water temperature for washing socks should not exceed 40 ℃, otherwise it will cause the socks to shrink and the sole to become smaller after being heated, and even cause the socks to harden and deteriorate. To maintain the original luster of socks, it is best not to use soap containing too much alkali. Just gently rub with your hands, rinse with water, and dry in a cool and ventilated place.

In addition, when selecting, it is also necessary to check whether the tightness of the sock opening is appropriate. If the sock opening is too tight, you can use a cardboard box to prop it up and gently iron it with a steam iron at the sock opening to easily “gain weight”.
